I wanted to break down my thought process, and I might even write an excerpt based on this collage later because I am just so happy with how it turned out!

There are about seven elements that make up this collage and I love that every time I make one it feels like a puzzle that only I can put together. Lore-wise, I’d decided to make giants intergral to the worldbuilding. Not the current world, but the ancient one. Ergo, a monotone colour pallete. I wanted to show a passage of time even in the reign or ‘Time of the Giants’ that the humans within my world might have imagined so grandiously. The cycle of life being universal.

Even in our modern times, we have conspiracies centred about mega-fauna humans or immortal crytids. In this piece I wanted to show how time can be felt. Everything comes to an end. Just as they might wonder how Giants could ever go exist in their world, we might wonder that we could go exist in ours. We are not immortal, not even our legends will outlive us if we’re all gone.
